SAFEGUARDING & PROTECTING YOUNG PEOPLE POLICY

Exeter Hockey Club supports the Safeguarding & Protecting Young People Policy statement issued by England Hockey, the National Governing Body for hockey. A copy of the Policy can be viewed on our website under club documents.

REPORTING CONCERNS OF POSSIBLE ABUSE

If any member of Exeter Hockey Club or any parent/carer of a Junior member suspects that a young person is being or has been abused, that person is requested to inform the Club’s Welfare Officer in strict confidence. The Club Welfare Officer will seek advice from England Hockey’s Ethics & Compliance Manager regarding immediate action required and then follow the guidance provided. The Club Committee will only act according to any advice issued and will ensure that any sanctions deemed necessary are dealt with properly.

Our Club Welfare Officers are:

Dave Pewsey: [email protected]

Alternatively contact Chair Sally Turner: [email protected]
